Job Opportunity:

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Multinational Programme Coordinator to join our team in Madrid.

The successful candidate will work closely with our global team to support the execution of multinational insurance programmes, providing guidance and direction to underwriting teams in the Europe region.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Execute inbound and outbound multinational programmes using proprietary tools and systems to support a rapidly growing business
  • Engage with network partners in 175 countries to confirm local country support and related tax items
  • Review underwriting submission materials to assist underwriters with quoting and binding local underliers
  • Use BHSI's WorldLink system to execute programmes with global partners
  • Liaise with various teams to address tax and regulatory compliance matters, reinsurance agreements, and data management needs
  • Correspond with global customers and brokers
  • Support the development of BHSI's multinational processes, tools, and systems

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years commercial insurance experience
  • Multinational experience
  • In-depth understanding of policy construction, insurance company operations, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work across multiple lines of business, global time zones, and teams in other regions
  • Strong analytical, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Must be proactive and able to work within a team environment
  • Strong communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Competency in MS Office applications
  • Language skills: English, native or bilingual proficiency
