Payroll and HR Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and HR Manager to join our team at W Barcelona. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of monthly payroll and providing support to the HR Director with various HR-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the monthly and annual payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with external payroll partners to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Provide subject matter expertise to property managers on all HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Lead all activities related to internal audits, ensuring that all necessary resources are available to administer employee records.
- Support the HR Director in driving the HR strategy for the hotel, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Act as a subject matter expert on internal development tools, ensuring that employees receive the necessary training to perform their jobs effectively.
- Maintain effective employee communication channels, including developing daily communications and facilitating regularly scheduled property-wide meetings.
- Review progressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency, and ensure that employee issues are referred to the Department Manager for resolution or escalated to the Director of Human Resources/Multi-Property Director of Human Resources.
- Partner with Loss Prevention to conduct employee accident investigations, as necessary.
- Communicate performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position.
- Ensure compliance with all internal HR-related processes and policies, including maintaining employee files and managing Workers Compensation claims.
- High school diploma or GED; 3 years of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related field.
- Qualification in Relaciones Laborales and/or nómina (payroll) is highly desirable.
- Relevant experience in payroll and/or finance, ideally in a hotel environment.
