Job Overview

As the Lead Product Analytics Specialist, you will spearhead a team of product analysts dedicated to enhancing the Customer's product domains. Your role will involve close collaboration with various cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, development, research, and design, to pinpoint opportunities for synergy and product enhancement. You will play a crucial role in ensuring data reliability and accessibility to facilitate informed decision-making and drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside product leads and managers to identify and prioritize initiatives linked to essential metrics and performance indicators.
  • Establish KPIs and ensure consistent metric definitions across diverse teams.
  • Collaborate with Research, Business Intelligence, and Data Engineering teams to foster a knowledge-driven culture.
  • Develop and uphold best practices for data analysis and reporting.
  • Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to deadlines and deliverables.
  • Explore AI/ML solutions that can be transitioned into production.
  • Guide and mentor team members on best practices for data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
  • Lead a team of product analysts in evaluating product data and assessing product performance.
  • Be accountable for the growth and satisfaction of team members.
  • Support analysts by setting expectations, providing regular feedback, and maintaining accountability.
  • Promote a positive culture and values within the analytics team by valuing each individual.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proficient in executing complex SQL queries and experienced with database management systems and cloud-based data warehouses.
  • Strong knowledge of Python programming.
  • Expertise in Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker, and Mode.
  • Experience addressing typical Product Analytics challenges, including user tracking, A/B testing, and experimentation.
  • Familiarity with the operational dynamics of complex Product organizations in the SaaS sector, from research to experimentation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a talent for storytelling and conveying ideas effectively to stakeholders and team members.
  • A passionate analyst who thrives on generating knowledge and solving complex problems, with a strong curiosity and a love for learning.
  • Results-driven, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are consistently met while extracting meaningful insights from available data.
  • Enthusiastic about data-driven decision-making, recognizing the significance of data in maximizing impact through insights.
  • Understanding of product development processes and the collaboration required among various teams.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Machine Learning models and advanced statistical techniques applied to Customer Insights (e.g., Bayesian experimentation, time series forecasting, retention prediction models).
  • Experience in mentoring others, contributing to the training and development of team members.
  • Proven experience as a people leader, with a track record of coaching, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback to team members, including navigating challenging conversations.
