The Role of Product Analytics

Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside product leaders to identify and prioritize initiatives that align with key performance metrics.
- Establish and maintain clear definitions of key performance indicators across teams.
- Collaborate with Research, Business Intelligence, and Data Engineering teams to cultivate a data-driven culture.
- Develop and uphold best practices for data analysis and reporting.
- Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to objectives.
- Explore AI/ML solutions that can be integrated into our product offerings.
- Mentor and train team members on data analysis, reporting, and visualization best practices.
- Lead a team of product analysts in evaluating product data and assessing performance metrics.
- Foster the growth and satisfaction of team members.
- Support analysts by setting expectations, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring accountability.
- Promote a positive culture within the analytics team by valuing each individual's contributions.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficient in executing complex SQL queries and familiar with database management systems and cloud data warehouses.
- Strong knowledge of Python programming.
- Expertise in Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker, and Mode.
- Experience with product analytics challenges, including user tracking and A/B testing.
- Understanding of the operations within complex SaaS product organizations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas effectively to stakeholders and team members.
- A passion for analytics, with a strong desire to uncover insights and solve complex problems.
- Results-oriented mindset, ensuring that deadlines and deliverables are consistently met.
- Enthusiasm for data-driven decision-making and its impact on business outcomes.
- Familiarity with product development processes and cross-team collaboration.
