About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist to join our team at Hempel's R&D Centre of Excellence for Passive Fire Protection. As a key member of our operations support team, you will play a critical role in providing R&D support to our manufacturing plants worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage formula changes of our intumescent products to ensure compliance with global regulations.
  • Conduct and lead all aspects of annual audit testing to ensure the quality and safety of our products.
  • Assist in production troubleshooting and complaint investigations to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Prepare and provide continued training internally to ensure knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Scale-up new products from laboratory to factory and obtain approval and certification for new factories.
Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent experience in technical studies (e.g. Chemistry or Engineering) or alternative experience in coatings.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to engage with stakeholders and upper management.
  • Experience in root-cause investigations is an advantage.
  • Validated English skills both verbal and written.
  • Some travel may be required to Hempel production sites (approximately one week every two-three months).
