Carrier is seeking a Product Manager for Commercial Fire Solutions to be based in Barcelona, Spain.
This position involves overseeing and enhancing product management within the commercial fire division. As a Product Manager, your responsibilities will include the strategic planning and execution of new product initiatives, product improvements, comprehensive product support, and training related to commercial fire systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and uphold product strategies and roadmaps for the designated product categories.
- Acquire an in-depth understanding of the competitive landscape, customer segmentation based on needs, product positioning, and overarching market trends to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with Sales Teams and Channel Partners to validate product direction.
- Ensure successful delivery of New Product Developments (NPDs) by coordinating the creation of business opportunity proposals and product requirement documents, while fostering collaboration with Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Marketing, and other relevant departments.
- Manage product lifecycle activities, including SKU optimization, inventory management, and product phase-out strategies.
- Conduct competitive analyses to understand product differentiation and articulate the value proposition of our offerings.
- Assist in creating a Sales Playbook that outlines the value proposition, key messaging, competitive advantages, and essential marketing materials.
- Demonstrate financial insight by analyzing cost structures, revenue streams, and profit margins associated with product offerings.
- Investigate and address root causes of revenue shortfalls in NPDs through discussions with Channel Partners and Sales Teams, and effectively communicate action plans to leadership.
- Organize and oversee daily operational tasks, including reporting, SKU management, marketing content, and product specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of the new product development process from concept to market launch.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management is preferred.
- Experience in the commercial fire and security sector or related technical building systems is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and influence across various functional teams.
- Self-motivated with a desire to enhance skills and gain experience.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%.
