Job Title: Robotics Engineer Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated Robotics Engineer with a special interest in applied R&D to join our team at Eurecat Technology Center in Barcelona.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for research and development of projects, software development, validation, and maintenance of good quality applied research, and participation in the definition and development of new concepts and robotic ideas.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and development of projects in robotics and automation
  • Develop and maintain software for robotics solutions, including ROS and ROS2
  • Participate in the definition and development of new concepts and robotic ideas
  • Support robot integration, field trials, and robot maintenance
  • Contribute to scientific publications
  • Support project management to ensure proper project execution
  • Establish and maintain contact with clients and partners in consortiums

Requirements
  • MSc or PhD or equivalent experience in Robotics, AI, Computer Vision, or related discipline
  • Proven experience with C++, Python, ROS/ROS2, reusable code, and software documentation
  • Scientific background in areas of robotics such as robot learning, task planning, behavior trees, localization and navigation, manipulation, HRI, vision-guided robotics, 3D perception, and artificial intelligence/deep learning
  • Excellent knowledge of English is required
  • Availability to travel occasionally
