About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Robotics Engineer Researcher to join our team at EURECAT. As a key member of our Robotics and Automation Unit, you will be responsible for contributing to the scientific and technological development of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and development of projects, focusing on the scientific contribution and technological advancements.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain high-quality software solutions for applied research.
  • Participate in the definition and development of new robotic concepts and ideas.
  • Provide support and supervision for robot integration, field trials, and maintenance.
  • Contribute to scientific publications and support project management to ensure proper project execution.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and partners in consortiums.

Requirements
  • A Master's degree or PhD in Robotics, AI, Computer Vision, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with C++, Python, ROS/ROS2, reusable code, and software documentation.
  • Strong scientific background in areas such as robot learning, task planning, behavior trees, localization and navigation, manipulation, HRI, vision-guided robotics, 3D perception, and artificial intelligence/deep learning.
  • Excellent knowledge of English is required.
  • Availability to travel occasionally.
