JOB OVERVIEW

The Robotics and Automation Division at Eurecat Technology Center is in search of a dedicated Robotics Engineer with a keen interest in applied research and development. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about robotics, software engineering, and artificial intelligence, regardless of their level of experience or age.

Ideal candidates should possess a strong background in software development for robotic applications (including ROS) and a desire to focus their careers on various research domains such as Human-Robot Interaction, planning, learning, navigation, manipulation, and perception.

Our team specializes in applied research and development in both Service and Industrial Robotics. Our mission is to enhance robot autonomy and intelligence to facilitate more sophisticated robotic behaviors. We engage in a diverse array of robotics projects across multiple sectors, including advanced manufacturing, agricultural robotics, logistics, healthcare, and maintenance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities will encompass scientific contributions and technological advancements, including:

  • Conducting research and development for various projects
  • Developing, validating, and maintaining high-quality software for applied research
  • Contributing to the conceptualization and development of innovative robotic ideas
  • Providing occasional support and oversight for robot integration, field trials, and maintenance
  • Participating in scientific publications
  • Assisting in project management to ensure effective project execution
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients and partners in collaborative projects

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MSc or PhD or equivalent experience in Robotics, AI, Computer Vision, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with C++, Python, ROS/ROS2, reusable code, and software documentation.
  • A scientific background in one or more of the following robotics areas: robot learning, task planning, behavior trees, localization and navigation, manipulation, Human-Robot Interaction, vision-guided robotics, 3D perception, and artificial intelligence/deep learning.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
