Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join our team at LanguageWire. As a key member of our Accounting Team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across all our entities.
As a Payroll & Accounting Specialist, you will work closely with our external payroll providers in various European countries, including Germany, Sweden, Denmark, and Spain. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring compliance with local legislation and group policies.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain payroll computations, ensuring high standards of compliance and accuracy.
- Ensure the collection of payroll processing documents and other accounting input and tax information in a timely manner.
- Check input payroll data and documents for compliance with local regulations and contracts.
- Process filing of documents in accordance with our established filing system and maintain complete and organized files.
- Meet established deadlines for payroll processing in countries where we operate.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and inform superiors of any changes.
- Review and check the accuracy of entered input data and output results.
- Liaise with external parties, such as auditors, bankers, and relevant authorities.
- Ensure reimbursement in case of sickness and maternity according to country regulations.
- Deliver reports and analysis to the organization.
- Process, approve, and post incoming invoices in our current Accounts Payable software.
- Report changes to third parties, such as pension providers, when changes to the payroll occur.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Curiosity and willingness to expand knowledge of payroll in multiple jurisdictions.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Flexibility to work around different payroll deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize important projects and meet deadlines.
- Flair for numbers, Excel, and at least 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
