Job Description

Overview: The Associate Director of the School of Science is the primary point of contact for students and faculty, responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the school's daily activities. This role requires proactive management to improve operational quality and student satisfaction, with a focus on two key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Student Interaction:
    • Meet with students to address issues, provide guidance, and offer support in a timely and empathetic manner.
    • Monitor students' academic performance and address any issues that may impact their academic life.
    • Collaborate with class representatives, alongside the Academic and Executive Directors, to manage student relationships.
    • Develop and implement effective communication strategies for students.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance the student experience.
  2. Faculty and Departmental Interaction:
    • Oversee and coordinate tasks related to liaising with professors to address student or group situations, request feedback, and ensure timely submission of grades and syllabi.
    • Manage escalated matters when necessary, working closely with Assistants and Program Managers.
    • Collaborate with other IE departments to ensure a seamless student experience.
  3. Internal Development:
    • Assist the Academic and Executive Directors in coordinating and implementing new curricular and extracurricular initiatives.
    • Supervise, coordinate, and coach Program Assistants and Program Managers with professionalism and maturity.
    • Take ownership of special program projects, including program design, communications revamp, and other initiatives.
    • Maintain and enhance academic guides and other materials for students and faculty.
Requirements:
  1. At least 3 years of experience and a Master's degree.
  2. Bilingual or advanced proficiency in English and Spanish (written and oral), with substantial professional experience in both languages.
  3. Strong project management capabilities.
  4. Experience in global management education or working with technology schools is a plus.
  5. A positive and proactive attitude, with a focus on service and student satisfaction.
