Director of NYU Madrid

NYU Madrid is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to serve as the Director of our academic center in Madrid, Spain. As a key member of the NYU leadership team, the Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the academic program, including strategic planning, academic operations, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of NYU Madrid's academic mission and its implementation, including critical relationships with academic partners and the Madrid Site Specific Advisory Committee (SSAC)
  • Responsibility for NYU students in Madrid in all respects, including academic performance, cultural immersion, co-curricular, safety, health, wellness, and behavioral matters
  • Ensuring local compliance with the regulatory environment
  • Facilities management
  • Government and community relations
  • Crisis response

The Director will work closely with NYU leadership in New York to set and execute NYU's strategic long-term planning for NYU Madrid. This is a full-time administrative role best suited to someone with a strong academic background and a proven track record of leadership and management.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the higher education landscape, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
