The Dean of Academic Affairs for Berklee Valencia is a key member of the Valencia Executive Team, responsible for driving the strategic direction of the campus's academic programs. This role requires a strong leader who can inspire and energize the academic team, while also providing guidance on the development and implementation of academic strategy and operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direction on the development, implementation, and oversight of the academic strategy and operations of the Valencia campus.
- Lead an academic team composed of seasoned educators and industry professionals.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Berklee Academic Affairs to shape and develop programs at Berklee Valencia.
- Work closely with the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs/Provost, academic vice presidents, division deans, and other Berklee Boston personnel to ensure consistency between Valencia and Boston in curriculum offerings.
- Develop programs that complement existing offerings and align with the strategic plan of Berklee College of Music.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in academic leadership, with experience in developing and implementing academic strategy and operations. They will be a strategic thinker, with excellent communication and leadership skills. The ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and to drive innovation and growth will be essential.
