Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Environment Program Manager to join our Cloud Operations & Innovation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering critical infrastructure and foundational technologies for our online services, including Xbox, OneDrive, and Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Center Operations / Service Delivery:
    • Establish strong working relationships with customers to ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in a datacenter.
    • Manage, plan, control, and organize the planned preventative and corrective electrical and/or mechanical equipment.
    • Utilize CMMS and monitor the performance of electrical plant and machinery to prevent failure/loss of the plant and equipment.
    • Ensure that electrical, mechanical, and/or fire/life safety equipment within the datacenter is operating at peak efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with infrastructure operations standardization.
    • Act as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues within the datacenter, escalating to the Data Operations Manager as needed.
  • Data Center Work Environment:
    • Share best practices and assist others in learning the role, process, procedures, and mentor others.
    • Promote a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of datacenter activities.
    • Realize the impact of change on others and learn, live, and coach the One Microsoft culture and values.
    • Lead through change by bringing clarity, generating energy, and delivering success.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 1+ year(s) industry experience, or 2+ years industry experience and college coursework.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Preferred qualifications include 2+ years experience in Critical Environment infrastructures or working in physical IT infrastructures, technical college degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field, and applicable certifications.
