Critical Environment Program Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Environment Program Manager to join our Cloud Operations & Innovation team at Microsoft. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for our cloud services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.
Key Responsibilities- Establish strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of critical infrastructure services.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in our data centers, ensuring peak efficiency and compliance with infrastructure operations standardization.
- Manage, plan, control, and organize planned preventative and corrective electrical and/or mechanical equipment, utilizing CMMS and monitoring performance to prevent failure or loss of plant and equipment.
- Act as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues within the data center, escalating to the Data Operations Manager as needed, and providing input/recommendations on electrical/mechanical design parameters.
- Manage small-to-medium projects from conception to completion, ensuring routine reporting for critical infrastructure, including operational and maintenance KPIs, objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
- Drive cost/energy efficiency projects, identify single points-of-failure at regional data center locations, and coordinate, plan, schedule, and supervise CE audits and compliance verifications.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 1+ year(s) industry experience, or 2+ years industry experience and college coursework.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred qualifications include 2+ years experience in Critical Environment infrastructures, technical college degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field, and applicable certifications such as ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, PMP, ITIL, CDCP.
