Deal Desk Analyst Job Description

BMC is seeking a highly skilled Deal Desk Analyst to join our Commercial Strategy & Operations team. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in driving long-term revenue growth by assessing and approving deal terms, pricing, and contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support execution pricing excellence in STAR, including attending Step-0 reviews and assisting with objection handling.
  • Maintain deal desk data and dashboards, generate reports, and track performance metrics to improve the deal escalation process.
  • Approve deals in line with the new approval parameters and corporate guidance.
  • Analyze deal structures and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Articulate deal requirements, contract structure and risks to executives.
  • Work cross-functionally to support resolutions to complex deal negotiations and address approval requirements.
  • Attend and offer coaching during core STAR negotiation checkpoints to drive price attainment.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain and update deal desk documentation and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred with 3+ years of experience in a sales operations, software sales, and/or revenue operations role.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills who has experience managing field relationships.
  • Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel & Tableau.
