About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Legal Counsel - Expansion and Corporate to support our corporate expansion efforts worldwide. As a lawyer with strong legal skills, you will be quick on your feet in understanding and assessing legal obstacles and risks as they may arise in new jurisdictions. You will be based in Madrid and will provide advice on corporate and operationally relevant matters to support the growth and sustained development of Feverup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting legal research across multiple jurisdictions to provide preliminary analyses of expansion opportunities for Feverup's business and possible strategies and structures.
  • Identifying, engaging and working with external legal advisors, PROs and corporate services providers to support Feverup's new and existing corporate structure.
  • Drafting and reviewing a range of legal and corporate documents.
  • Keeping up to date on key country trends (politics or key legislation) that may impact expansion into specific countries.
  • Advising on general legal matters related to the company's global operations.
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders, and practicing effective communication to achieve strategic priorities.
  • Taking responsibility for knowledge management, such as preparation/revision of templates and legal guides, and memos.
  • Participating in ongoing corporate compliance functions as required.
  • Upskilling, support, and growth of other team members.

Requirements

  • A barred/practising lawyer with 2-4 years of PQE (experience in Corporate Law a plus).
  • A native English speaker, with fluency in another language, a plus.
  • A creative and practical problem-solver, with a can-do attitude and who is piqued by facing new intellectual challenges and honing their risk assessment and management skills.
  • A team-player and effective communicator who brings emotional intelligence to work.
