Functional Safety Specialist for Automotive Systems

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team at Applus IDIADA as a Functional Safety Specialist for Automotive Systems. As a key member of our Electronics Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our vehicle systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive safety strategies for vehicle features, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, and Thermal Management systems.
- Analyze potential hazards and risks associated with electric and electronic malfunctions, and develop safety goals and functional safety requirements to mitigate these risks.
- Define technical safety requirements and safety architectural designs for vehicle features, and conduct safety validation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve procedures and methodologies for safety-related activities.
- Support project definition and quotations, including communication with clients and internal meetings.

Requirements- Good background in Electronics or Mechanics, with a passion for the automotive industry.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry standards.
- Excellent team-working, organization, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of traditional Office suites (MS Office, Outlook).
- Will to travel and work with worldwide OEMs.
We require a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Automation, or similar. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, and knowledge of German is an asset. Other languages are also valuable.
