Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Sales Specialist is accountable for driving sales and introducing products within healthcare facilities. Reporting to the Regional Area Manager, the selected candidate will strategize and execute development plans and negotiations with key clients, including specialists in Emergency Medicine, Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, Nursing, and occasionally Hospital Pharmacy and other hospital managers, particularly in the area of Thrombosis.

Prior experience in Thrombosis, Dermatology, Allergy, Gastroenterology, Antibiotics, Oncology, or related fields is highly valued.

Each day presents the challenge of making a difference, and the role of Clinical Sales Specialist will create an impact through:

  • Integrated planning and management of assigned hospital accounts, implementing commercial processes designed to achieve the sales objectives set by management in the designated geographic area.
  • Promoting and presenting the company's products and solutions articulately, while reinforcing Viatris's image based on the pillars of access, collaboration, and leadership.
  • Monitoring and nurturing the client portfolio, developing relationships with key clients (KOLs), scientific societies, and other regional stakeholders.
  • Facilitating training and utility programs in-person, online, or remotely.
  • Reporting on the implementation of commercial activities (using CRM tools like Veeva and others).
  • Tracking competitive activities and general competitive intelligence.
  • Drafting commercial proposals and negotiating terms.
  • Resolving issues that arise during the sales process.
  • Communicating and collaborating effectively with other functions within Viatris: Marketing, Sales, Digital, Comex, as well as the Medical Department and Customer Service.
  • Adhering to compliance and Viatris policies.

Qualifications and Professional Experience

For this position, we seek a candidate with a suitable combination of the following qualifications, skills, and experiences:

  • Minimum education: Bachelor's degree. Any background related to health sciences (Chemistry/Pharmacy/Biology) is highly valued.
  • Minimum experience: 2 years in sales within the hospital channel. Applications with pharmacy experience will not be considered.
  • Intermediate level of English is required.
  • Strong communication skills, direct negotiation abilities with clients, and ease in interpersonal relationships.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong customer orientation and motivation for commercial challenges.
  • Proficiency in Office Suite, Power BI, and CRM (Veeva).
  • A dynamic, consistent, responsible individual with the ability to work in a team.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Residence in the designated area is essential.
  • Willingness to travel (70%).
