Job Title: Medical Writer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Writer to join our Medical Writing and Healthcare Communications team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a Medical Writer, you will be responsible for writing publications and other scientific communications for internal scientific collaborators and external biotech and pharmaceutical clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, and handle publications and other scientific communications (e.g., posters, abstracts, slide decks, white papers, and plain language summaries)
  • Work on multiple projects concurrently while remaining on time and within budget and complying with industry standards and internal processes
  • Prepare documents that are clear, concise, compelling, scientifically accurate, and aligned with regulations, industry standards, and corporate guidance

Education and Experience:

  • Extensive proven experience as a writer of peer-reviewed medical publications (comparable to 2+ years)
  • Experience working in a CRO or medical communications agency advantageous
  • Excellent scientific writing
  • Digital literacy
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a scientific field; advanced degree preferred
  • Additional qualifications in medical writing (e.g., AMWA, EMWA, or RAC training; CMPP certification) advantageous
  • Native or C2 level of written and spoken English
  • In-depth knowledge of one or more relevant specialty areas of medicine
