SABIC Specialties is a leading provider of specialty chemicals and materials, serving a wide range of industries including automotive, aerospace, and consumer goods. Our Strategic Business Unit is focused on developing innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving commercial growth and profitability at our assigned customer base in Spain. This includes developing and executing sales strategies, negotiating prices and contracts, and coordinating logistics and claim handling with internal teams. Your customer base consists of medium-large molders and OEMs working primarily in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the competitive environment in Spain for relevant industries and products.
  • Interact with key internal stakeholders, including Product Management, Technical and Innovation, Pricing, and Supply Chain Management.
  • Balance developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships with executing on short-term commercial goals to meet operating plan objectives.
  • Responsibility for data documentation for your buying and specifying customer base.
  • Provide input for Sales Planning (S&OP).
  • Participate in Marketing Communication activities, such as attending industry events.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Plastics or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Background in the plastics industry, preferably in engineering specialties, and at least 3 years of experience in commercial or technical marketing roles in the automotive industry.
  • Expertise in application development, plastics product knowledge, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to build excellent business relationships with customers.
  • Ambition and drive for commercial responsibility and accountability.
  • Ability to travel extensively within Spain and visit the Netherlands HQ on a regular basis.
  • A team player with a hands-on mentality and a positive, solution-focused mindset.
  • Strong communication skills, fluent in Spanish, and strong verbal and writing skills in English.
