Position Overview
In the Solutions Group at Avery Dennison, we are seeking a proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented business administrator and project leader. This role is pivotal in supporting the Solutions Group President and the leadership team in implementing our organizational strategy, driving operational excellence, and nurturing a collaborative and accountable culture. You will act as a liaison for the Solutions Group leadership team, coordinating group interactions and meetings to ensure optimal preparation and efficiency while aligning key projects and business initiatives. This position reports directly to the President of the Solutions Group, allowing the executive to concentrate on high-level leadership and strategic functions.
Key Responsibilities
- **Strategic Coordination:** Collaborate with the Solutions Group President and leadership team to align strategic objectives across the organization. Monitor the progress of strategic initiatives and provide regular updates to the President.
- **Confidential Project Support:** Assist with special projects of a sensitive nature, which may include potential acquisitions, partnerships, or organizational changes that require focused attention.
- **Information Analysis:** Identify challenges and opportunities, bringing them to the attention of the Group President and/or Solutions Group Leadership Team. This includes gathering data such as financial reports and performance metrics, requiring strong data analytics skills.
- **Administrative Management:** Oversee various administrative tasks for the Solutions Group President and leadership team, including organizing and preparing for meetings, both on-site and remotely, and managing logistics.
- **Calendar and Expense Oversight:** Provide daily support with calendar management, travel arrangements, visa applications, expense reimbursements, and invoice management for the Solutions Group President.
- **Visual Communication Development:** Create presentations and visual materials for leadership meetings and communication events.
Additional Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for the President, managing correspondence, scheduling, and communications.
- Prepare documents for the Group President's review and approval.
- Address routine inquiries and provide information to optimize the leader's time.
- Conduct independent research on complex information requests.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and work autonomously to deliver high-quality support to the business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating success in providing executive support in a high-demand, international environment.
- Proven ability to navigate large, global, matrix organizations with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong cultural empathy and relationship-building skills to thrive in a complex multinational organization.
- Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
- Trustworthy and ethical, maintaining confidentiality in all matters.
- Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Proficient in project management, with knowledge of Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Full fluency in English, with business proficiency in additional languages being a plus.
