Position Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within European Partners - a vast and diverse region containing 37 markets in which our portfolio of brands is distributed and marketed by 3rd party distributors. The Regional Senior Brand Manager (RSBM) position is accountable for the delivery of our brand strategies across 1 of 3 market clusters within the region. This cluster is the largest in European Partners, covering 12 distributors and 9 markets; the largest of which is Spain.
Job Description
Reporting into the Regional Marketing Manager for European Partners, with 4 direct reports, key responsibilities for the role include:
- Partnering with the cross-functional team to identify key drivers of growth
- Acting as marketing conduit between Edrington & our European Partner distributors for a cluster of priority European markets, with a key focus on Spain, Portugal, and Italy
- Communicating key strategic updates, ensuring consistency of brand strategy and messaging across the region/portfolio
- Acting as cluster lead for consumer-centric growth planning
- Leading effective deployment and tracking of marketing investment across key brand/market combinations delivering high impact initiatives
- Nurturing internal relationships with the global brand teams (based in Glasgow)
- Fostering close relationships with our European Partner distributors
- Local adaptation and/or amplification of the global brands communication platforms where required
- Driving synergies in ways of working and activations across our European Partner network
Skills and Experience
To be successful in the role, you will be educated to degree level in a suitable discipline, with working experience across regional and/or local marketing roles. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential (verbal and written). You should also have experience working with 3rd party distributors in terms of making strategic and brand investment decisions with a detailed knowledge of the Spanish market. Experience of effectively leading and managing a team is imperative.
A good understanding of in-market execution and customer marketing would be beneficial, as well as demonstrable strategic thinking and leadership skills. You will be a strong communicator, self-motivated, and enthusiastic. Project management and analytical skills would also be advantageous.
