We are the consulting division of Davies, accelerating business, technology and people performance across financial services including banking, asset and wealth management, insurance and other highly regulated industries.

We are currently seeking a **Business Development Director **to join our team on a permanent basis within our Banking & Markets practice in Madrid.

**The opportunity: The banking & markets practice draw on our specialist knowledge and extensive industry experience. From designing target operating models to creating risk-based management dashboards, we deliver transformative change for our clients.**

**You will**:
**Manage business development**:

- Actively develop existing and new client accounts
- Originate opportunities that lead to delivered revenue.
- Develop, lead and support pitches and opportunities.
- Develop sales materials and IP.
- Capture client and business development data in Salesforce

**Oversee client facing projects**:

- Actively lead or contribute to successful client engagements related to CLM or Change Management within the B&M unit.
- Develop strong relationships with the client.
- Contribute to the efficiency and profitability of client work.
- Review current state of a client's technology platform, management processes, and documentation, and recommend and implement improvements to all three.

**Your experience**:
**Capabilities for you to do the role**:

- Experience in selling consultancy with revenue targets involved.
- Demonstrable understanding of capital markets environments and of the systems development life cycle, data analysis, information technology systems, business processes and regulatory risk management.
- Several years of proven experience in KYC processes and procedures as well as KYC/CDD systems knowledge.
- Collaborative experience with the business, regulatory specialists, and the legal team to evaluate opportunities and permissible activities under the changing regulatory regimes.
- Project management methodologies and skilled in the analysis and identification of technology to solve business problems.
- Demonstrated ability to write functional and technical specifications documents and to participate in presentations, as well as provide recommendations to our clients.
- Hands-on experience in Target Operating Model design and alignment of policies and procedures
- Experience in defining and driving RFP processes.
- Highly analytical and methodical approach to problem solving.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience in and desire to help develop business, conduct sales calls, craft proposals, and help grow Sionic's business.

**Desirable**:

- ACAMS certification or any other CDD certification is a plus.
- Fenergo system knowledge and integration with other main industry systems and third-party providers is a plus.
- Agile methodology certification or experience is a plus.
