With Spain as your base, as Sales Manager you are responsible for the sales department that covers all of Spain and Portugal. We are looking for a Sales Manager to effectively provide daily management and supervision, coaching and development of the regional Sales Team to achieve sales growth in order to meet the annual HACH sales plan and budget. Your goal is to promote and support corporate initiatives, plans, policies, by example and through direct action. You will be part of the local management team.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Support Iberian sales team (team of 14 sales experts) to achieve sales objectives and achieve own sales targets; providing day-to-day supervision of sales team.
Hire, train, coach, and develop sales team.
Retain top talent and drive engagement.
Manage employees by establishing annual goals and holding performance discussions.
Establish and maintain relationship with key customers by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs, resolving problems and establishing pricing strategies.
Collect and report information on all competitive activity, business opportunities, sales trends in Iberia.

Demonstrate understanding of the needs and expectations of customers.
Evaluate competitors from the customer’s perspective to identify how/where to differentiate to gain market share.
Proactively build relationships with new types of customers.
Consistently make decisions based on sound judgment, core ethics, values and the Danaher Standards of Conduct regardless of circumstances and pressures.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Bachelor or (preferred) Master degree in engineering (Chemistry, Environmental) and/or business administration.
5+ years of relevant direct sales experience. Preferably having maintained a managerial position in a B2B sales department.
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent team building and motivational skills.
An excellent command in English, Spanish and preferably Portuguese.
Solid sales ability and strong track record of sales success.
Excellent market/domain knowledge preferable.
Highly developed skill and expertise in customer interaction, negotiation and issue resolution.
Strong ability to work cross-functionally and independently to maximize results for the business.
Ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organization to motivate for results.
Ideally living in Bilbao or Barcelona.
Willingness to travel extensively within the countries.
