We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Manager, Valve Automation to join our team Your working location would be in any of the following: Spain (Bilbao or Barcelona), France or Portugal and you will report to the Head of VC&A Europe and in dotted line to Head of Northwest South Europe Region.
As a Sales Manager,
You will be responsible for valve actuation and valve automation sales development in Spain, Portugal and France as well as in other European countries in case of potential seen.
You will do active funnel management with valve manufacturers, valve distributors, skid builders, automation houses and coordinate needed EPC and licensor support activities for projects.
You will have a strong influence on strategy implementation and monthly reporting regarding the business outlook and achieved results to the Heads of Sales Region and in matrix to the Head of VC&A Europe.
You will provide sales budget for valve automation and valve actuation products, participating in the development of the business by relaying customer feedback regarding the sales process and product offering.
Sales Manager, Valve Automation role includes a wide range of different responsibilities
- Sales development & strategy implementation under your responsibility area
- Innovating new sales approaches case by case
- Managing complex contract negotiations and price agreements for customers based on the market price level
- Developing the technical solution with the customer
- Reading and understanding technical specifications
- Intensive cooperation with sales operations (quotation, order handling) team
- Actively maintaining correct CRM sales funnel, lead, opportunity, and project information
- Acting as the local customer voice/champion in the organization
- Active participation in finding local success stories to be published as global references for marketing purposes
- Acting as the valve automation specialist in your area
- Following Valmet ethical principles
- The job requires 100-150 travel days per year
To be successful in this role you can ideally demonstrate
- 5+ years of experience in sales of valve actuation including relevant instrumentation
- Fluent in Spanish and French. Portuguese language knowledge is an advantage
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Existing network amongst valve manufacturers, automation houses, skid builders, EPCs and/or valve distributors
- Demonstrated ability to build long-lasting relationships with key customer stakeholders across different functions (e.g. procurement, engineering, sales, management)
- Business understanding of the European valve market in general and valve actuation & automation market specifically
- Experienced in complex contract negotiations
- Demonstrated success in closing deals
- Ability to build and leverage effective working relationships in a global matrix organization
