Technical Sales Manager

Elkem’s sales office in Bilbao, Spain serves our customers in the Foundry industry. We are looking for an experienced Cast Iron Metallurgist to strengthen our team. As our Technical Sales Manager you will be the ELKEM’s Technical support of our customers, developing customized solutions for the improvement and development of their cast iron metallurgy and castings. You will be part of a customer focused team with colleagues from different European countries.
Most important areas of responsibility:
- Provide technical solutions and continuous technical support to our customers in order to help to promote and develop the sales of Elkem’s foundry products.
- Implement and maintain customer technical support according to Elkem’s sales strategy.
- Provide support to and liaise with Elkem’s foundry alloy plants and our product development teams
- Ensure that the added value of the product portfolio is recognized and commercially implemented
Qualifications required for the position:
- Minimum BSc in chemistry or metallurgy
- Minimum 5 years’ experience from technical sales to iron foundries and/or having worked in production at iron foundries
- Fluent in Spanish and English
We are looking for a person with good communication skills and experience in presenting technical issues. You build trust and communicate well with customers as well as your colleagues. You must be result oriented, customer focused and demonstrate high level of drive. To succeed in the position, you must be able to work independently and be structured.
