Sales Manager for North-East of Spain and Portugal
We are looking for a person to obtain territory market share by maintaining and expanding the customer base.
**Responsibilities**:
- Forecast requirements to meet territory sales financial objectives
- Contribute territory sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
- Visit customers on a periodic basis
- Prepare sales, service and support reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends and implementing corrective action
- Evaluate products, services and technical support in order to improve sales opportunities
- Maintain and expand customer base
- Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities and service changes
- Evaluate customer needs for new opportunities
- Drive customer satisfaction by evaluating sales, sales support, service and technical support
- All other duties and responsibilities that are reasonably assigned by the employer or its designee
Key Skills / Competencies
- Honesty, integrity and a good reputation within the sales environment
- Sales and relationship management experience
- Ability to understand the Customer’s Needs
- Strong commercial awareness
- Ability to communicate and present information at all levels; ability to write/work with and present business plans and forecast business trends/expected results
- Strong negotiation skills- Represent JLG’s vision and values
- **Requirements**:
- 5 to 7 years of related sales experience
- Strong business development skills
- Familiarity with access equipment, heavy machinery/industry, trucks or the automotive industry
- Vocational Qualification in Sales or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Fluent in Spanish. Knowledge of English and other European language is a plus
- Willing and able to travel up to 75%
Desired knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of the heavy machinery market e.g. mechanical handling equipment, trucks, access equipment, excavators, utility vehicles is advantageous
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills: presents oneself clearly and articulately when speaking; thinks through material for presentations in advance and organizes presentations in a logical flow; ensures that communication is clear and understandable for others.
- Excellent negotiation skills: Explores positions and alternatives to reach outcomes that gain acceptance of all parties; develops a strategy for giving on some points and standing firm on others to achieve desired outcomes; proven ability to successfully round up negotiations into sales.
- Customer service orientation: Demonstrates strong commitment to meeting the needs of customers, striving to ensure their full satisfaction; maintains excellent relations with customers
