Sales is the backbone of any insurance company. Agents and brokers do not only acquire new customers but also foster the relationship and loyalty of existing ones. Thus, agents and brokers need highly available, low-latency applications that enable them to manage and advise customers as effectively as possible.We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Operations Tribe Lead.As the Manager of the Operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a talented group of Site Reliability Engineers, Developers and Testers based in Spain, Austria, Thailand, and Germany. You will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems and services while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. You will collaborate closely with other engineering teams, product management, and operations to achieve our reliability goals and support our growing infrastructure.You will work with a wide range of technological solutions ranging from cloud infrastructure (AWS), infrastructure-as-code (GitHub), deployments (Kubectl, Helm), to monitoring (Dynatrace) and incident management (ServiceNow).Your customers will be in various time zones across the globe including Asia and central Europe. You WillTeam Leadership and DevelopmentHire, mentor, and coach Operations team members to help them grow professionally and achieve their career goals.Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and create development plans.Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture.Facilitate team ceremonies and rituals, such as tribe syncs and retrospectives.Project ManagementPlan, coordinate, and oversee infrastructure, rollout, and release related projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.Define project goals, milestones, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.Create epics, and prioritize user stories to meat and improve business objectives.Financial Management and Budgeting:Manage the budget for the Operations team and ensure financial efficiency.Develop strategies to ensure the costs of the team are covered by customers.Work closely with finance and product teams to align budget and cost recovery efforts with business objectives.Regularly report on financial performance and make adjustments to meet budgetary goals.Collaboration and CommunicationCommunicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.Facilitate effective communication within the team and resolve conflicts.Operational ExcellenceImplement and refine processes to improve system reliability, performance, and efficiency.Encourage the adoption of continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation practices.Identify and address bottlenecks and areas for improvement in the operational workflow.Capacity Planning and Performance ManagementEnsure that systems have adequate capacity to handle current and future demands.Monitor and optimize system performance to meet service level objectives (SLOs).Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement scalable solutions.Incident Management and ResponseOversee incident response processes to minimize downtime and ensure timely resolution of issues.Conduct post-incident reviews and drive root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and on-call schedules.Your SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience in a leadership role within an Operations, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering team.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong technical background with hands-on experience in reliability engineering, automation, and cloud infrastructure (AWS).Experience in incident management and resolution.
