We are making significant strategic investments that will decrease our own environmental footprint and help customers adapt to long-term environmental and social change through the development of cleaner, greener solutions.Arxada is looking for a Business Development Manager CDMO for Pharma Intermediates. This role can be based in our European offices in Basel or Visp (Switzerland), Barcelona (Spain), Cologne (Germany), Kourim (Czech Republic), or remote. In this role, you will be responsible for the acquisition of new customers and CDMO projects with a focus on customers from the pharmaceutical and related industries. The role involves overseeing all commercial activities for designated customers, achieving results aligned with agreed commercial KPIs and project milestones.Key Responsibilities:Accountability to meet agreed commercial targetsInteract efficiently with customers and build strong relationshipsPrepare commercial proposals and offersNegotiate and close contractsDrive marketing activities and continuously analyze industry and customer landscapesDevelop and execute strategies to acquire new customers and projectsKey Requirements:MSc in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Life Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology or related fields5+ years of work experienceStrong existing network in the pharmaceutical industry, including CDMOsExcellent negotiation and project management skillsStrong business acumenStrong problem-solving and analytical capabilitiesExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to work effectively in a matrix organization and manage multiple internal stakeholdersWillingness to travel up to 50% of the timeFluency in EnglishArxada has a world-class offering in two distinct areas:Microbial Control Solutions (MCS) focuses on threats posed by microorganisms to people and planet through five distinct business lines including Professional Hygiene, Home & Personal Care, Wood Protection, Paints & Coatings, and Material Protection.Nutrition, Care & Environmental (NCE) provides materials used to manufacture composites for electronics, aerospace, and other markets, as well as vitamins and nutritional ingredients, chemicals and performance intermediates, and raw materials for a wide range of high-performance applications
