Purchasing Assistant Supervisor

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate and facilitate approval on all merchandising tasks and coordinate with buyers to ensure accuracy and validity.
Monitor and evaluate all claims and ensure compliance to all company regulations.
Design all purchasing contracts and associate procedures and policies.
Design specifications for all assortment and recommend appropriate substitutes.
Review all purchase specifications and issue appropriate quotations to all suppliers.
Organize and participate in various meetings and prepare required reports to identify appropriate purchasing requirements.
Performing inventory inspections and reordering stocks as necessary.
Updating and maintaining records of all purchasing-related tasks or requirements.
Establishing professional relationships with clients as well as suppliers.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all purchasing inquiries.
Assisting the buyers generating reports such as Journal & Open PO Reports.
Spearhead the supplier documentation including permit/license related requirements.
Support in publishing suppliers' other income such as rebates in volume orders, adjustment, and promotional initiatives.
Supplier creation & updating supplier masterlist.
Resolve any discrepancies with suppliers in a timely manner.
Directly reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor/Officer.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree. Any 4 (four)-year business-related courses. Retail course is an advantage but not required.
At least 1 to 3 years of experience in Retail Merchandising, handling modern trade or store chain is a must.
Strong background in administrative and clerical assignments with expertise on Microsoft Office (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point) and Open Office
Great organizational, planning and time management skills.
Amenable to work onsite from Mondays to Fridays from 9 AM to 6 PM.
