Reporting to the Head of Product Management, this role will manage one or more Product Managers and oversee about half of The Bump's Web features.As a product team, we are committed to collaboration, driving outcomes, and most importantly, we are committed to building products that millions of users love.The right individual will have a proven track record delivering engaging, consumer-focused products within a data-informed, agile environment.You will collaborate with The Bump's leadership team, internal stakeholders, and your functional partners in data, design, engineering, and elsewhere to build the best possible products.RESPONSIBILITIES:Drive maximum impact for our users and business by building best-in-class products and evolving our Bump brand.Set the vision, strategy, and objectives for your squad, execute them, and communicate them broadly.Incorporate qualitative and quantitative insights into our brand strategies and product plans.Create alignment both within your Squad and across the Zone.Attract and retain the best product talent in the world.Lead and inspire a team of product managers to build great products while upleveling their skills and capabilities.Partner with The Bump's Head of Product, the Director of Engineering, and the General Manager to stand up an agile environment, address key roadblocks, and learnings to improve the effectiveness and velocity of the team.SUCCESSFUL DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT MANAGEMENT CANDIDATES:Lead and Inspire:Have 10+ years in product management, including experience running product teams and delivering outsized impact in a complex consumer environment at scale.Have built best-in-class products loved by millions of users.Can inspire, develop, and uplevel other product managers.Provide the leadership, guidance, and feedback to help teams ideate, launch new products, and improve existing ones.Excellent communicator and collaborator:Partner with The Bump's Head of Product Management and the General Manager to set a near-term strategic direction for your squad and a compelling long-term product vision
