We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic VP to join our Commodities, Food & Agri Team of Wholesale Banking. The role is based in Madrid, where the CF&A team is mainly focused on Food, Beverage and Agribusinesses, covering the whole food value chain.
The responsibility of this team is to provide financing solutions and advisory services to our clients and our way of working is in very close cooperation with other departments of the bank, leveraging our sector expertise and network.
Your key responsibilities:
As a VP you will:
Positively contribute to developing existing client relationships and originate new mid-sized, large, and multinational corporate clients in the sector in Spain & Portugal
Identification and origination of cross-selling opportunities across the full range of the Bank’s offering of lending, financial markets, transaction banking and advisory products
Engage and coordinate senior management and product teams support client commercial, underwriting and credit proposals and execute client strategy plans
Monitoring developments and opportunities within the Commodities, Food & Agri sector. Continuously build knowledge on the sector, competitors, products, and macroeconomic trends/ issues and contribute to ING strategic initiatives.
Co-create Structure/Negotiate/Implement/Monitoring credit portfolio together with lending colleagues and/or in collaboration with inhouse Legal Department or external legal counsel
Ensure successful end to end execution of transactions (from pitching to documentation) and assist in the coordination of client due diligence (know-your-customer) process

The ideal candidate should be an ambitious professional with a Masters’ degree with above-average academic grades and at least 4 years of experience in banking, financial services and/or strategic consultancy
The candidate should have sound financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities; and excellent speaking and writing skills in Spanish and English is a must. In addition, we expect the candidate to have the following key personal skills:
- Strategic thinking skills, with ability to synthesize broad information quickly and cogently and to drive multiple activities in parallel
- Strong results orientation, comfortable with driving financial performance
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions (team player)
- Strong client focus and proven ability in stakeholder management (both internally and externally)

Estamos buscando un vicepresidente talentoso y entusiasta para unirse a nuestro equipo de Commodities, Food & Agri de Wholesale Banking. El puesto se encuentra en Madrid, donde el equipo de CF&A se centra principalmente en Alimentos, Bebidas y Agronegocios, cubriendo toda la cadena de valor alimentaria.
La responsabilidad de este equipo es proporcionar soluciones de financiación y servicios de asesoramiento a nuestros clientes y nuestra forma de trabajar es en estrecha colaboración con otros departamentos del banco, aprovechando nuestra experiencia y red de contactos en el sector.
Sus principales responsabilidades:
Como vicepresidente, podrá:
Contribuir positivamente al desarrollo de las relaciones existentes con los clientes y originar nuevos clientes corporativos medianos, grandes y multinacionales del sector en España y Portugal
Identificación y originación de oportunidades de venta cruzada en toda la gama de productos de préstamos, mercados financieros, banca transaccional y asesoramiento del Banco.
Involucrar y coordinar a la alta gerencia y a los equipos de producto, apoyar las propuestas comerciales, de suscripción y de crédito de los clientes y ejecutar los planes estratégicos de los clientes.
Seguimiento de la evolución y las oportunidades en el sector de las materias primas, la alimentación y la agricultura. Desarrollar continuamente el conocimiento sobre el sector, los competidores, los productos y las tendencias/problemas macroeconómicos y contribuir a las iniciativas estratégicas de ING.
Co-crear Estructura/Negociar/Implementar/Monitorear la cartera de crédito junto con colegas prestamistas y/o en colaboración con el Departamento Legal interno o asesor legal externo
Garantizar la ejecución exitosa de las transacciones de principio a fin (desde la presentación hasta la documentación) y ayudar en la coordinación del proceso de diligencia debida del cliente (conozca a su cliente)

El candidato ideal debe ser un profesional ambicioso con un título de maestría con calificaciones académicas superiores al promedio y al menos 4 años de experiencia en banca, servicios financieros y/o consultoría estratégica
