VP - Commodities, Food & Agri Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP to join our Commodities, Food & Agri team in Wholesale Banking. The successful candidate will be based in Madrid, where the team focuses on Food, Beverage and Agribusinesses, covering the entire food value chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain existing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities in the sector in Spain and Portugal.
  • Originate cross-selling opportunities across the bank's lending, financial markets, transaction banking, and advisory products.
  • Collaborate with senior management and product teams to support client commercial, underwriting, and credit proposals, and execute client strategy plans.
  • Monitor sector developments and opportunities, building knowledge on the sector, competitors, products, and macroeconomic trends.
  • Contribute to ING's strategic initiatives and co-create, structure, negotiate, implement, and monitor credit portfolios.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree with above-average academic grades.
  • At least 4 years of experience in banking, financial services, and/or strategic consultancy.
  • Sound financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent speaking and writing skills in Spanish and English.
  • Strong results orientation, comfortable with driving financial performance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and stakeholders.
  • Enthusiasm and ambition to learn and grow.
