Are you an experienced Sales & Business Development professional in the IT Sector and specialized in software modernization, building and running applications to help clients to become more digital? This opportunity could be for you. We are currently expanding our management and business development teams for different domain areas and hiring a Business Development Specialist for the Digital Engineering area.

In this role you will define the approach for software modernization, building and running applications in such a way that fully exploits the advantages of the integrated Agile-DevOps-Cloud delivery model.

To give you an idea of how this role would look and feel, these would be some of your main responsibilities.

• Forge relationships with Technology VP/CXO decision makers within client organization

• Map client organization, build extraordinary relationships with new business units, build a consultative sales strategy for developing new business opportunities.

• Lead (pre-)sales proposals, while influencing a large team or multiple teams to achieve their goals.

• Support end-to-end business development processes.

• Support revenue generation by scoping, structuring, and leading digital engagements

• Envision and create new opportunities within existing and new businesses.

• Achieve annual revenue & profitability target.

• Work in a matrix organization, responsible for prospecting and other sales management goals designed.

• Stay up to date with technology trends to propose new features and provide value and innovative solutions to our customer

• Participate in the software development community in some capacity: meetups, blogs, Stack Overflow, open-source projects, etc.

What qualifications are we expecting in our ideal candidate?

To succeed on this role, you will need to be result-driven, client-focused and collaborative and can craft, lead and present solutions that help our clients transform their digital engagement interaction and achieve disruptive benefits. You will also require the following:

• Deep understanding and ability to talk convincingly through ideas centered around modern digital enterprises such as product centric org structures, POD-based delivery models, TDD/BDD, deep understanding of Agile and DevOps, microservices, containerization, serverless, hybrid hosting patterns such as private, public cloud (Azure/AWS), PaaS (OpenShift, Cloud Foundry)

• High degree of comfort and ability to talk through approach to perform app portfolio analysis, identify candidates for cloud native journey: re-host, re-platform, re-architect etc.

• Proven results in consultative selling approach

• Prior experience forging relationships at Director, VP, and CXO levels

• Experience in understanding client requirements and mapping to Cognizant service offerings

• Experience in collaborating across organization groups to create a client-oriented pitch and solution

• Ability to develop and articulate user-journey to data-flow storylines and end-to-end execution.

• Strong oral and written and interpersonal skills and executive presentation and persuasion skills

• Excellent client service abilities, including strong presentation skills.
