Position Overview
Our client, a prominent company in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Financial Manager to join their team. The selected candidate will be based in Girona, Spain, and will play a key role in supporting the current Finance Director, who is approaching retirement. This role is designed to provide a gradual transition, ensuring that the new Financial Manager acquires the necessary knowledge and skills to eventually step into a leadership role within the finance department.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Finance Director in daily financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Oversee and coordinate IT requirements within the finance department, working closely with the company’s IT specialists to ensure systems are functioning optimally. Note that this is not a technical role, but a coordination position to manage the financial department's digital needs.
- Manage cash flow, cost control, and financial analysis to ensure the financial health of the company.
- Participate in the preparation and presentation of financial reports for the company’s senior management team.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Support the finance team in the implementation and optimization of financial tools and software.
Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Fluent English (essential for internal and external communication) and a high level of proficiency in Spanish.
- Proven experience in financial management, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent knowledge of financial software and advanced use of MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience coordinating IT-related needs, ensuring alignment between financial goals and technical capabilities.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn from an experienced Finance Director.
