Als Product Safety Specialist (m/w/d) bist Du Mitglied unserer globalen Einheit „Diagnostics Product Sustainability & Compliance“. Die Abteilung Compliance Operations ist verantwortlich für die Daten- und Prozesse innerhalb von Diagnostics Quality & Regulatory, die eine chemikalien- und umweltrechtlich konforme und nachhaltige Entwicklung, Transport/Handhabung, Vermarktung und Entsorgung aller Produkte (der sog. Produkt Lebenszyklus) von Roche Diagnostics ermöglichen. Damit sind wir nicht nur unersetzlich bei der Sicherstellung der Compliance im Sinne unserer Patient:innen, sondern verfolgen auch das Ziel, die Umweltauswirkungen all unserer Produkte und Dienstleistungen deutlich und nachhaltig zu reduzieren. Zu Deinen Hauptaufgaben gehören:

Datenmanagement und Stammdatenpflege in SAP EH&S(M) sowie zukünftig S/4HANA und chemikalienrechtliche Bewertung unserer Produkte (Erzeugnisse) im Rahmen der Material Deklaration E2E Prozesse

Kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung der EHS Datenmanagement Daten-, Prozess- und Systemarchitektur

Key-User für die EH&S Datenmanagement-Tools (Unterstützung bei der Ermittlung der Systemeigenschaften, Begleitung von periodischen Einführungsprozessen durch Überprüfung von Anforderungen und Testfällen)

Sicherstellung von Datenkonformität, -qualität und -integrität (nach Datenmodell); sowie Durchführung von Plausibilitätsprüfungen

Ansprechpartner (1st level support) für lokale und globale Funktionen bzgl. der Implementierung relevanter chemikalien- und umweltregulierender Gesetzgebung

Was bringst Du mit:

Abgeschlossenes Studium der Natur-, Ingenieur-, Material-/Werkstoff- oder Informationswissenschaften oder vergleichbar

Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung in IVD Produktentwicklung, oder -herstellung oder im Product Safety Umfeld (Material Declaration, Product Stewardship) bzw. EHS Stammdatenmanagement in der Pharma- , Elektronik- oder Automobilindustrie.

Du verfügst über fundiertes Verständnis der chemischen Zusammensetzung von Materialien, insbesondere jener, die in diagnostischen Produkten und Verpackungen Verwendung finden.

Erfahrung mit der (globalen) chemikalien- und umweltregulierenden Gesetzgebung REACh, RoHS, WEEE, California Proposition 65)

Verhandlungsgeschick sowie effiziente Kommunikation zeichnen dich aus. So gelingt es dir gekonnt, Anfragen zu Materialinformationen bei Lieferanten zu platzieren und Materialdeklarationen durch Lieferanten zu erhalten

Du bist in der Lage vertrauensvolle und gewinnbringende Beziehungen zu wichtigen Lieferanten aufzubauen und zu pflegen

Umfassendes Verständnis im System- und Datenmanagement, insbesondere in SAP-Modulen wie SAP EHS oder SAP MM, um effektiv Materialdeklarationen und Compliance-Dokumentation zu verwalten.

Deine Affinität zur Handhabung großer Datenmengen und Deine Vorliebe für Data Science zeichnen Dich aus

Erste Erfahrungen und Expertise im agilen Projektmanagement oder Arbeiten in einem agilen Umfeld

Ausgezeichnete Englischkenntnisse und idealerweise gute Deutschkenntnisse

As Product Safety Specialist (m/f/d) you will be a member of our global unit "Diagnostics Product Sustainability & Compliance". The Compliance Operations department is responsible for the data and processes within Diagnostics Quality & Regulatory that enable a chemical and environmentally compliant and sustainable development, transport/handling, marketing and disposal of all Roche Diagnostics products (the so-called product life cycle). This means that we are not only irreplaceable in ensuring compliance in the interests of our patients, but also pursue the goal of significantly and sustainably reducing the environmental impact of all our products and services. In order to be able to continue to do this successfully, we are now looking for YOU

Your key responsibilities:

Data management and master data maintenance in SAP EH&S(M) and, in future, S/4HANA and chemical law evaluation of our products (articles) as part of the material declaration E2E processes

Continuous further development of the EHS data management data, process and system architecture

Key user for the EH&S data management tools (support in determining system properties, monitoring periodic implementation processes by reviewing requirements and test cases)

Ensuring data conformity, quality and integrity (according to data model); as well as carrying out plausibility checks

Contact person (1st level support) for local and global functions regarding the implementation of relevant chemical and environmental regulatory legislation

Who you are:

Completed studies in natural sciences, engineering or information sciences or comparable

Several years of professional experience in IVD product development or manufacturing or in the product safety environment (material declaration, product stewardship) or EHS master data management in the pharmaceutical, electronics or automotive industry

You have a sound understanding of the chemical composition of materials, especially those used in diagnostic products and packaging

Experience with (global) chemical and environmental regulatory legislation REACh, RoHS, WEEE, California Proposition 65)

Negotiation skills and efficient communication characterize you. You are able to skilfully place requests for material information with suppliers and obtain material declarations from suppliers

You are able to build and maintain trusting and profitable relationships with important suppliers

Understanding of system and data management, especially in SAP modules such as SAP EHS or SAP MM, to effectively manage material declarations and compliance documentation.

Your affinity for handling large amounts of data and your preference for data science characterize you

First experience and expertise in agile project management or working in an agile environment

Excellent English and ideally good German language skills
