Regional Maintenance & Automation Supervisor:

Mission:
Lead and coordinate maintenance and automation activities for the assigned production line or site, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable execution of preventive, predictive, corrective, lubrication, troubleshooting, and automation support activities. Act as the frontline technical leader for maintenance technicians while also supporting equipment reliability, plant availability, OEE, asset life cycle, operational continuity, and reduction of industrial losses. Drive rapid response to equipment issues, support technical studies and improvement opportunities, and contribute to retrofit, automation, and reliability initiatives that increase productivity and reduce operational costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Leadership and Daily Execution:
Supervise and coordinate maintenance technicians during the assigned shift or area of responsibility.
Ensure timely execution of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and lubrication activities.
Verify quality, completion, documentation, and closure of maintenance work orders within the CMMS system.
Coordinate maintenance resources, tools, and spare parts required for scheduled and emergency activities.
Rapid Response, Troubleshooting, and Reliability:
Support production by ensuring rapid response to equipment failures, operational issues, and line interruptions.
Support shift maintenance technicians in troubleshooting failures and coordinate root cause investigations.
Monitor equipment condition and identify opportunities to improve reliability, performance, availability, and OEE.
Escalate major equipment issues and reliability concerns to the Maintenance and Reliability Manager or relevant leadership.
Automation and Retrofit Management:
Support creation and execution of the PER - Strategic Retrofit Plan - to mitigate equipment obsolescence and recover obsolete or aging assets.
Support studies, budgeting, and implementation of automation retrofit projects according to obsolescence and improvement plans.
Design or support automation solutions and structured networks to increase plant automation levels and support Bimbo Digital Transformation.
Contribute to multidisciplinary engineering projects to ensure proper technological integration with existing manufacturing assets.
Field Engineering and Technical Support:
Perform and/or guide equipment software backups and software modifications based on engineering studies and operational needs.
Support development of alternative or new software solutions when retrofits or modifications require software or hardware platform changes.
Assess electrical, mechanical, utility, and automation conditions of manufacturing equipment to support budget creation, recovery plans, and process improvement actions.
Support equipment installations, upgrades, commissioning, and technical improvement projects.
Safety, Food Safety, and Cross-functional Collaboration:
Ensure maintenance and automation activities are executed according to safety standards, food safety requirements, and company procedures.
Work closely with Production, Quality, Sanitation, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, and Reliability teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
Adopt sustainable technical solutions whenever applicable and support standardization across sites.
Team Development and Knowledge Transfer:
Develop maintenance technicians through coaching, training, and daily technical support.
Disseminate technical and automation knowledge that reduces repair time, increases time between failures, and improves availability.
Promote rapid diagnosis and failure prevention through continuous improvement and lessons learned from other sites.
Education & Knowledge:
Required:
Technical Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field; higher education in Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, or related field is strongly applicable for the automation scope.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems.
Basic understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance concepts.
Basic knowledge of machine elements, electric welding, machining, and mechanical fitting/adjustment.
Advanced knowledge of industrial automation systems, including PLC, HMI, SCADA, industrial communication networks, industrial instrumentation and electronic drives.
