Barcelona, Barcelona, España IOI A tiempo completo

IO Interactive is seeking a talented Technical Producer to join our Backbone Team, the core programming group behind our most ambitious game projects. We're currently developing Project 007, a brand-new James Bond video game featuring an original Bond story, and Project Fantasy, a groundbreaking online fantasy RPG for console and PC. Both titles are powered by Glacier, our state-of-the-art proprietary game engine.

As a Producer on the Backbone Team, you'll play a key role in driving the successful planning, execution, and delivery of our technology initiatives across the studio. You'll foster clarity, alignment, and momentum in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, bridging strategy, people, and process.

Beyond coordinating milestones and managing risks, this role is about leading change, empowering teams, and cultivating excellence in how we build and deliver our technology. You bring a passion for the craft of production, thrive in dynamic settings, and aren't afraid to make and communicate tough decisions when needed.

What you will do:

  • Serve as the technical planning representative, ensuring alignment between technical teams and overall project priorities.
  • Oversee long- and short-term planning, backlog maintenance, and goal tracking in coordination with technical leadership and other producers.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across all aspects of the project.
  • Drive performance and accountability by supporting recruitment, interviews, and performance reviews with clear, actionable feedback.
  • Lead workflow and process improvements, fostering a culture of adaptability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and align requirements with external partners, including middleware providers and outsourcing studios.
  • Build and maintain high-performing, healthy teams through assertive yet empathetic communication and strong leadership.

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Technical Producer in video game production (with one or more shipped AAA console titles) or in software production of comparable complexity.
  • Strong understanding of software development practices and production pipelines.
  • Solid grasp of system integration, version control, and collaboration workflows.
  • Experience with software defect tracking and bug triage processes.
  • Proficiency in JIRA or equivalent project management tools.
  • Formal training, certification, or coursework in PRINCE2, Scrum, Kanban, or similar methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, with strong communication and conflict resolution skills.

Who we are:

IO Interactive is an independent videogame development and publishing company with studios in Copenhagen, Malmö, Barcelona, Istanbul and Brighton. As the creative force behind some of the most talked-about multiplatform video games in the last decade, we are committed to creating unforgettable characters and experiences – all powered by our award-winning, proprietary Glacier technology.

IOI is a studio that values in-person collaboration. Being together helps us focus our collective energy on our immediate goals. For us, being both in-office as well as connected across our studios helps us integrate our teams faster, strengthen relationships, and improve knowledge-sharing. We believe that the more time we spend together, the more quality and progress we achieve for our games and players.

We know that to achieve those goals, we need courage, talented people and a great working environment – and we do our utmost to have all of that. Across our multiple studios, we're working on several projects. Crucially though, we're all one team. We value the work and impact that each person brings to the table and we actively encourage new ideas, whilst listening to your insights along the way.

We have a dedicated team of People Managers, who look after you as an individual and as an employee. With more than 40 nationalities, we know that everyone is different and we are proud to have a reputation for being a friendly workplace with highly-talent people.
