High-Level International Business Conference Project

Location: Barcelona

Type: Project based. Eligible to upgrade to full-time if both feel great after this contract.

Contract period:
Early December 2025 – March 11, 2026 (overall engagement approx. 2–3 months, including an estimated 2–3 weeks on site in Barcelona, Spain, subject to final project schedule).

Role Summary

You will lead internal production, technical coordination and vendor management for a large-scale customer event in Barcelona. If the Project Manager is the "外场舵手", you are the "内场总控". Working closely with the Project Manager, you will translate the client brief and creative concept into executable technical and production solutions, and lead all production-related work from quotation, vendor management, fabrication, installation, to on-site operation in Barcelona.

Role Description

• Work side-by-side with the Project Manager to balance budget, creativity and feasibility. Translate the client brief and creative concept into executable technical and production solutions.
• Lead vendor quotation comparison, technical clarification and support contract negotiation for all production scopes. Balance quality, budget and feasibility – aim for the "best value" solution.
• Develop and manage detailed production schedules, layout plans, technical drawings and on-site manuals, staying fully aligned with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with venue, local partners and other service providers in different time zones and languages to secure all on-site resources.
• Supervise fabrication quality, mock-ups and pre-builds; manage installation, rehearsal, show operation and dismantling on site.
• Identify and manage technical and safety risks; propose back-up plans and emergency responses for critical moments.
• Provide clear on-site leadership to the THP team and external crews, ensuring everyone understands the plan, timing and standards.
• Document learnings and best practices after the event to support THP's continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in event production / technical management (conference, exhibition, launch, etc.) preferably including at least two overseas project.
• Excellent planning, coordination and problem-solving skills; calm and decisive under pressure, especially during build-up and show time. Comfortable using project tools (production schedules, layouts, Excel/Docs/Slides, etc.) and able to read basic technical drawings.
• Professional knowledge in one or more core areas: staging, lighting, audio, video, LED, interactive technology or exhibit fabrication, rigging and basic safety standards. Able to communicate effectively with technical vendors.
• Experience in overseas projects or cross-border teams is a strong plus (especially Europe).
• Familiar with venue operations and multi-vendor coordination; strong sense of cost–quality–feasibility balance.
• Fluent Chinese with good working English: able to handle technical docs and communicate with overseas vendors and stakeholders.
• Able to commit to a 2–3 month contract from December 2025 to mid-March 2026: Shanghai based with 2–3 weeks on site in Barcelona.
• Positive attitude, ownership mindset and strong teamwork – willing to "make it happen" with the team at critical milestones.
