ETS Operations Manager Europe

Job Description
Operational Management of the ETS engineering group(s) across the various locations of Europe, to ensure the successful execution of engineering, consultancy and project activities and continuous improvement of related business processes; development of strategic direction of the department in line with long term plan of the ETS Industry Pillar.

The ETS Delivery Manager will focus on operational execution of SCADA, Terminal and Pipeline solutions, proposal support, monthly status reporting, risk management, quality, resource and supplier planning.

Continuous development of the team with highly qualified Engineers and Consultants; professional skills matching our strategic plan and ETS market requirements. Optimizing execution processes based on latest methodologies, internal and external standards and optimal use of Emerson World Area Hub and Global Engineering Center

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Functional Expertise

• Overall responsibility for the management and delivery of ETS projects
• Be the primary ETS interface to the other SYSS pillars, BUs and Hubs
• Be the primary point of contact for sales support requests.
• Be responsible for the reporting of engineering performance and for ensuring cost recovery in accordance with plan.
• Represent the interests of ETS engineering in the Sales & Operations planning process.
• Support sales in the pursuit phase by presenting engineering delivery capabilities to customers.
• Responsible for ensuring engineering compliance to the Integrated Management System (HSEQ) and for promoting a continuous improvement culture within the engineering team.
• Proactive escalation path and owner of engineering issues
• Promote a "Think Customer" culture within the engineering team.
• Promote commercial metrics within the engineering group, encouraging delivery to budgets and the prioritisation of change management.

• Participates in strategic business planning and annual budgeting processes.
• Understands market trends and Emerson's strategic direction and executes plans to ensure that ETS engineering capabilities are in alignment with these.

Leadership

• Strengthen and develop customer facing value add capability in ETS Industry expertise through organization development
• Drive and embed a culture of continuous improvement of performance and innovation to deliver productivity and speed of execution
• Leverage the capabilities of the ETS Hubs to enhance the performance and cost effectiveness of the organization
• Manage, coach and develop direct reports within the team
• Interpersonal
• Identifies team skill sets and capabilities required to meet future business needs
• Creates and sustains an environment conducive to successful team interaction
• Assure good and efficient cooperation with COE's

For This Role, You Will Need:

• BSc in Engineering or equivalent work-based experience.
• 5 + years hands proven experience in line / people management
• 5 + years' experience in the domain of Engineering & Consultancy
• Management level experience in a systems, software, process automation or application engineering capacity.
• Experience of developing customer relationships.
• Local language skills with proficient English (verbal and written)
• Excellent communicator
