ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Director of Operations to lead and evolve a geographically dispersed team responsible for managing the operations of a 1,000-partner strong network. This main role will focus on improving processes, strengthening team capabilities, and implementing strategic improvements.

The Director will oversee a team of 50+ people across El Salvador, Los Angeles, Madrid, Senegal, India, and Malaysia, with four direct managerial reports. The ideal candidate will have experience leading large-scale, global operations teams and driving improvements in process efficiency, team structure, and performance standards.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategic Leadership & Team Development
  
  o Set clear goals and priorities to enhance team efficiency and performance.
  
  o Identify skill gaps and implement structured training programs.
  
  o Establish consistent processes across all regions to improve operations and workload management.
  
  o Reduce reliance on ad-hoc processes and implement best-in-class operational standards.
• Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
  
  o Strengthen workflows and automation to improve team efficiency.
  
  o Implement standardized operational processes across diverse time zones and cultural contexts.
  
  o Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize tools and technology for team effectiveness.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  
  o Engage with external partners to improve support and operational consistency.
  
  o Act as a key escalation point for operational challenges, ensuring resolution.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  
  o Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team effectiveness.
  
  o Implement data-driven decision-making processes to continuously improve operational performance.
  
  o Ensure proactive issue detection and resolution through the Monitoring team's post-transactional analysis.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• 7+ years of experience in operations leadership.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing scalable operational frameworks.
• Strong ability to lead managers and develop high-performing teams.
• Experience in industries with complex regulatory, technical, or operational environments (Fintech a plus).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly in a complex ecosystem.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with executive stakeholders and external partners.
• Ability to travel periodically to global team locations.
• Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish (required).
