**Costing Engineer** Assure the preparation of projects budgets following standards and guidelines and comparatives of options and support document for the request and approval of funding (projects > 15 MUSD) **Main Responsibilities** - Create and maintain updated cost references for each country and unitary prices, quotations from executed projects. - Ensure, follow and in the case develop standards to maintain standardized costing procedure that can be tracked. Keep all documents available in the internal server for teams' usage and reference. - Preparation of budgets, cash flows following specific methodology for accuracy. - Provide support to feasibility studies and projects in all relative costing matters. - Provide training support to the operational areas if necessary. **Position Challenges** - Assure there is a clear scope and boundaries for the project to be costed. - Coordinate with the Process, Material Handling, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Civil responsible to define the scope to be included in the budget. - Identify assumptions and constrains that should be noted in the preparation of the budget. - Coordinate with project administration and construction responsible to provide the projects schedule. - Maintain up to date the costs to be used for the preparation of the budgets. - Prepare the cost estimation based on the WBS and standards from the company and the level of accuracy class (ACEE - Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering) - Know, use, and improve in coordination with the manager, the Company tools, and procedures for feasibility studies. (Budget, WBS, Design Basis, Support Document, List of Equipment, Balance, etc.) - Prepare comparatives of costs, updates, and changes between feasibility studies. Prepare options comparatives. - Coordinate and prepare the Support Document to be on time and with the accuracy defined. **Internal Relations** - Feasibility Studies Manager, Project Manager, - Projects Administracio n - Construction manager - Procurement - Engineering specialist **External Relations** - Suppliers, Vendors and Contractors - External entities involved in costing technologies or pricing **Position Requirements** - Level of education: Bachelor's degree - Area of Study: Engineering with financial and budgeting knowledge. - English and Spanish 100% - Experience, more than 3 years in project cost control, administration - General knowledge of projects: engineering, equipment, and construction procedures. - General knowledge of project management. - Structured & analytical, can detect relevant facts for problem solving. - Communication of ideas effectively in both oral and written form. - Ability to work effectively with others to accomplish common goals. - Leadership, team player, moderator, advising, charismatic, ethical, self-driven. - Understanding of a proper balance between office work and field work. **Location** Madrid - Spain **Travel estimate (%)** 10%
