A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an exceptional, talented and driven marketing professional to join our dynamic team and take us to the next level in our newly created Marketing Leader position. Reporting to the Marketing and Sales Leader for Europe, you will take direct responsibility for the management and development of the Marketing team based across our region.
This position will be a member for the European Management Team and as such, will be directly involved in the development and execution of the strategic plan with particular focus on establishing a distinct strategic position within the Sunflower and Sorghum markets.

POSITION & PURPOSE
Designs and leads Sunflower, Sorghum, Carinata and Canola strategic implementation at the regional level in accordance with the global crop directives and provides input into the global crop strategy as it relates to markets in Europe. This includes leading new product development for the region and providing leadership as it relates to product life cycle maintenance, with a long term horizon of 3 - 10 year.
This position will work closely with sales to optimize revenue and margin within the European market. This role is also responsible for understanding and identifying the marketing plans with a -18 month to 24 month view related to new and existing products and developing marketing plans to support these products and strategies.
This role will lead the Marketing team with representation from ; R&D, Product Development/Customer Agronomist, Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales.
**EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Mandatory**:
Degree in Agricultural Science or a similar discipline with extensive experience within Crop commercial business environments (+15 Years).
Prior experience working with Marketing Models (Value chain analysis, PEST, Porters 5 Forces, Value Propositioning, etc) required. Ability to use data to support recommendations
Using the 4 P concept, recommend supported product placement within the region
Understands the local and regional agricultural practices required to make important commercial and product development decisions
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
**Desirable**:
Deep agribusiness portfolio knowledge with strong project management skills.
Ability to consolidate information from various local and global sources.
Experience managing (negotiate, understand, prioritise, compromise, etc) between local needs and global crop objectives.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with all levels of internal and external customers.

Strategic Marketing Goals
Provides key assumptions and analyse trends for regional crops, markets and industry [1 to 3 year]
Design and execute crop strategies for the region with deep insight into the needs of grower customers ensuring adequate pre-commercial engagement [1 to 3 year]
Developed specific long-term industry trend analysis against key crops, markets, competitors, market shares, and industry initiatives that will assist the commercial business [3 to 10 years]
Develop gap analysis by crop segments highlighting key areas of opportunity
Develop new product value pricing by crop offer
Targeting and segmentation of grower customers in key crops segments [Full Potential]
Initiate market research with growers, agronomists and industry where necessary
Lead the portfolio development projects for Sunflower, Sorghum, Carinata & Canola market segments
Build new product value propositions and develop strategic positioning, channel to market and pricing strategies to support.
Develop strong industry and grower relationships to improve the portfolio outcomes
Manage the lifecycle of hybrids to ensure the business remains relevant and competitive - product lifecycle management and maintaining competitive COGs are critical
Manage the product exit and introduction process for the region
Customer Marketing
Assist the marketing direct reports in developing and implementing Annual/Quarterly Marketing campaigns and promotions to aid the sales team in working with their customers.
