Munich Re Madrid is looking for an experienced Life & Health Underwriter to join our Underwriting team. As a Life & Health Underwriter, you will be responsible high-quality underwriting efficiency, services to clients in underwriting, leading/assisting projects and research related to risk assessments and underwriting seminars / workshops for the Iberian life & health insurance market. You will work closely with the Senior Underwriting team of the region and other colleagues of the Underwriting & Claims team to provide support and advice on underwriting processes and facultative business evaluation.
**Your job**:
- Assess risks in life & health insurance based on medical, financial, and non-medical aspects.
- Provide active support to product development initiatives.
- Contribute to the evaluation and approval of claims.
- Maintain and improve internal risk assessment guidelines.
- Participate actively in the development, structuring, and implementation of projects related to traditional and automated Underwriting.
- Contribute to education and training initiatives related to Underwriting.
**Your profile**:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Life or Health Underwriter with a direct insurance company or reinsurer.
- Fluent spoken and written business English and Spanish.
- University degree or high school diploma.
- Analytical skills and ability in strategic thinking.
- Open-minded attitude, dynamism, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and be a team player.
- High motivation, meticulous and systematic approach.
- Client orientation (both internally and externally).
