**YOUR MISSION**

We are currently seeking a versatile and highly skilled **Accounting Expert** to join our Global Finance team in Barcelona. In this strategic role, you will bring your deep expertise in IFRS and financial reporting, as well as a strong business acumen, to drive financial excellence and support multidisciplinary projects across the organization.

**THE JOURNEY**
- **Provide Expert Guidance on Financial Reporting**:Serve as authority on accounting standards (IFRS) and financial reporting, offering expert insights to support decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- **Lead Multidisciplinary Financial Projects**:Collaborate with cross-functional teams across different departments (e.g., Operations, Technology, Strategy) to support key business initiatives, ensuring that all financial implications are identified and addressed.
- **Drive Strategic Accounting Initiatives**:Active participation in projects that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial processes, including month-end closing, consolidation, and reporting. Promote best practices and continuous improvement.
- **Ensure Compliance and Quality**:Develop and implement robust accounting policies and controls to ensure compliance with global standards, regulatory requirements, and Delivery Hero Group internal policies.
- **Support Business Growth with Technical Insights**:Provide technical accounting advice and thought leadership to senior management and business partners, helping them understand the financial impact of strategic decisions.
- **Act as a Trusted Partner**:Work closely with Delivery Hero and other Glovo stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for all accounting-related matters.
- **Mentor and Develop Teams**:Provide mentorship and guidance to local accounting teams, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

**WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE**
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
- **Experience**: 7+ years in accounting, financial advisory, or auditing roles, with a proven track record in international environments. Exposure to diverse industries is highly preferred.
- **Business Acumen**: Strong understanding of how accounting impacts overall business strategy and performance, with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business recommendations.
- **Technical Expertise**: Mastery of IFRS and experience in managing complex accounting transactions. A deep understanding of global compliance standards and regulatory requirements is essential.
- **Versatility**: Demonstrated ability to work on multidisciplinary projects and collaborate effectively with teams across different functions and geographies.
- **Soft Skills**: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for non-expert audiences.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Proficiency in financial reporting tools (e.g., OneStream, SAP S/4HANA) and advanced skills in Excel and G-Suite. Experience with ERP systems and data analytics tools is a plus.
- **Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills**: Strong analytical mindset with a strategic, data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- **Leadership and Mentoring**: Experience in leading and mentoring teams, fostering collaboration, and driving a culture of excellence and innovation.
