**ROLE PURPOSE**

The role of a Deputy Risk Officer is to communicate risk policies and processes for an organization. Provide hands-on development of risk models involving market, credit and operational risk, assure controls are operating effectively, and provide research and analytical support.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Monitoring the effectiveness of existing scoring models;
- Analysis of additional data sources-including data in scoring models;
- Monitoring and analyzing the quality of the retail loan portfolio;
- Forecast and control of returns, losses, and reserves for retail loan portfolios;
- Analysis and forecasting of the main indicators for reserving homogeneous loans;
- Working on operational processes in the field of recovery and verification;
- Working with a Country Manager to develop a strategy.

Self-motivated, with ability to lead and drive change initiatives, can-do attitude

Good organisational/time management skills, structural thinking.

Ability to be hands on with high attention to detail but also not lose strategic standpoint.

Willingness to work in a fast-growing company working environment and adapt to changes fast

**Knowledge/Abilities**:
Methodological way of working and ability to cope with competing demands and prioritize tasks accordingly

Being eager to develop your skills and progress within the company structure is key

Proven track record with financial, telecom or online mass market products.

Hands on with data analysis tools such as SQL queries

Data driven decision making

Banking or lending business knowledge is a strong plus.

Understanding of business processes in retail lending;

**Education**:
**Higher Technical**

English and Spanish Advanced.

**Experience Target**:
Experience in retail credit risks from 3 years;
Experience with Phyton (experience in developing and validating scoring models);

**Travel Required**:
Regular business travel is required
