These customers have new therapeutic ideas but want a partner who can assist with the clinical trial process, the complexities of certain disease states, or other critical capacities. You’ll work with them on the newest treatment breakthroughs for some of the most perplexing conditions. And ultimately, you’ll help make a positive difference in patients’ lives.

The Director of Project Management drives quality improvement activities as a result of audits / inspections / quality incidents / project issues / metrics /KPIs/ trends observed and may supports business development activities and CTO cross department initiatives

**Location**: Europe (remote/hybrid)

**Experience**: Minimum 8 years of PM and Line Management experience (in Clinical Research Industry)

**Language**: Fluent in English

**The Director of Project Management will be responsible for the following tasks**:
**Line Management of Project Managers**
- Line manages a group of ~8-10 PMs, directs, leads, develops and supervises PMs. Conducts regular one-to-one meetings or calls with allocated PMs.
- Manages PMs to the core values of Allucent
- Leads and develops PM teams, to ensure optimal focus on departmental goals that are set in ADP (Annual Performance Review system).
- Provides training, expertise, guidance, advice, support and motivate project teams in the management of the assigned clinical trials. Assists with Allucent internal training as and when required.
- Ensures that best practices, lessons learned and tools are developed and shared within PM team to achieve efficiency and quality.
- Accountable for the delivery of project deliverables managed by allocated PMs, including oversight of Key Performance Indicators for their studies, identifying potential high-risk areas and assisting in development of mitigation strategies. Ensure studies are performed in good quality, compliant with the applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), within budget and as per the timelines agreed with the client.
- Mentors PMs in client relationships
- Determines and standardizes core responsibilities, skills and experience required for the PM role in its different levels across Allucent. Reviews and updates the PM Job Descriptions as required to keep up with company changes and ensures that they include the responsibilities assigned to PM on Allucent SOPs and WIs. Determines the requirements for promotion from other roles into PM.
- Participates in project management and corporate initiatives supporting the development of the PM function at Allucent.
- Assists in the review of proposals, attends bid defense meetings (if needed), and prepares PMs for bid defense meetings.
- Oversees financial health of projects of the PMs. Review of financial reports, forecasting and revenue recognition per departmental goals set for each PM.

**Resource management**
- Resource forecasting needs in resource tool used by Allucent and resource allocation on existing projects. Review correct FTE assigned on ongoing projects.
- Staff project allocation
- Staff PMs for BDMs
- Staff workload management: assesses allocated PM workload, reviews the budgeted and recorded hours to ensure they are within acceptable working limits for active studies for the assigned PMs.
- Engagement and stability in teams
- Reviews and analyzes timesheet vs project allocation vs time (budget) available;
- Manage contractors:includes the entire process from recruitment / onboarding / oversight / engagement / performance
- Supports analytics and reporting of staff utilization and profitability

**Line and Performance management**
- Staff onboarding
- Probation period evaluation
- Performance management: objectives, mid-year and end-year evaluation, management of underperformance
- Staff career development and promotion
- Staff succession planning
- Staff retention and engagement
- Monitors employee utilization, workload, and overtime hours.
- Develops and provides role specific training
- Liaises regularly with Department Heads, Managers in Global Clinical Operations and, when applicable, sponsors, on project issues and for resolution of team conflicts or enhancement of performance as well when needed with cross BU functional leads or managers.

**Quality**
- Clinical staff training programs in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Sharing knowledges / lessons learnt based on audits / inspections / quality incidents / project issues / metrics / trends observed
- Drives Process improvement initiatives
- Drives to establish PM processes, forms and templates (new and updates)
- Drives the development and maintenance of applicable SOPs and templates to ensure the appropriate framework of the PM group is in place and ensures all related procedures and work instructions remain current
- Keeps oversight to ensure compliance to the SOPs and ICH GCP/regulatory guidelines and best practices
- Drives compliance to the Project KPIs. Where needed, create awareness / initiates course of action to achieve /
