Founded in Barcelona, our client is a profitable and growing company at the forefront of equity crowdfunding, with niche domination in life sciences, medtech and biotech. They have pioneered a novel approach to portfolio selection by crowd-sourcing expertise to objectively score innovative projects on five critical success metrics.

As a result, the platform has a 95% success rate of completing (frequently oversubscribed) seed funding rounds, securing up to €2 million per project. They have helped 68 companies bridge the 'valley of death' to go on successful growth paths.

Recent changes to EU legislation will soon allow frictionless cross-border investments, opening up the potential to scale operations significantly and replicating this highly successful model across Europe, starting with France.

To contribute to this exciting new phase, they seek an entrepreneurial and ambitious investment relations professional, based in Barcelona, to drive growth in their core Spanish market, while the company executes its strategy of internationalisation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop investment opportunities for the company
- Focus on high-potential European biotech & life sciences startups
- Attract new investors to the platform with creative strategies
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing investors
- Lead engagement of premium investors

**Requirements**:
Essential:

- Min. 3 years - investor relations or similar business development
- Can build & maintain relationships with investors & entrepreneurs
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills - English and Spanish

Desired:

- BSc or MSc in finance, economics, or life sciences
- Investment experience related to the life sciences or biotech
- Success in fundraising with demonstrated track record
- Data-driven, adept with CRM & leveraging technology for growth
- Additional European languages are a plus
