Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in a technical Engineering field (Power/Industrial/Systems/Data/Energy), Business Administration, Business Analytics or similar field
- 6+ years experience of developing, implementing and maintaining energy management systems (EnMS) and energy efficiency best practices in industry
- Experience delivering tools/documentation/processes relating to EnMS or energy efficiency, and their continuous monitoring and improvement
- Experience with technical, commercial and regulatory analyses relating to energy in one or more of the following: EnMS, energy efficiency, generation/storage/transmission power infrastructure, energy decarbonization, energy sustainability

Key job responsibilities
- Own energy efficiency and its narrative for AWS infrastructure in EMEA, and set energy efficiency strategic direction and goals
- Own alignment with global workstreams across overlapping functions including: operations, environmental, sustainability, public policy and regulatory/ISO
- Manage and coordinate (or participate) in programs/projects/tasks for the continuous development, implementation and maintenance of energy efficiency requirements and best practices for the organization
- Improve documentation/tools, track progress, coordinate change and improvement efforts, and monitor process improvement effectiveness
- Masters degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Energy management, Sustainability
- Prior experience in data center infrastructure industry
- Personal certification in energy management systems or energy efficiency i.e. auditing, ISO
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, break down and solve complex problems in a high energy, fast paced environment
- Understanding of core financial concepts like time value of money, net present value, and project budgeting for CAPEX and OPEX spend
- Ability to demonstrate frugality by simplifying overlapping workstreams to maximize productivity, and discovering and delivering financial incentives and benefits related to energy efficiency
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
